Today is the last day of
Gondola operation until the start of ski season in mid-November.
So Alex took off his Hong
Kong hat, put down his spinning train, and shouted: "Gondola,
Gondola!"

We rode our bikes over to
the Gondola station in the middle of town for one last trip
to the top of the
Mountain.
Alex raced up the stairs
of plaza to the boarding station...

As the doors of the
Gondola closed we all shouted "Three, Two, One... BLAST OFF!"
(Alex shouted "BLAST ON")
and we were on our way to the top of the mountain.
Up on top, Jeremy showed
off his prowess with the hoola-hoop...

We met Gilbert for lunch,
and then went to play on the Adventure Toys...

Gilbert & Jeremy rode the
see-saw...

Jeremy fell off (that was
Silly!), but he climbed right back on...

The next time we're here
there will be deep snow everywhere!

Before dinner we made our
regular Sunday evening trip to the Maroon Bells to run
around the Lake and sit
by the Beavers' house, contemplating the weekend and the
amazing summer which is
now becoming autumn...
