Memorial Day weekend in Aspen means
the opening of the snow gates on Independence Pass
and Maroon Creek Road, the start of
gondola service to the top of Aspen Mountain, and our
wedding anniversary! Alex &
Jeremy were very excited about all the new things to do! |
First trip
up the Silver Queen Gondola: |
Jeremy was a little concerned about
his new mode of transport ("Daddy, I might fall out the bottom!"),
until we told him we were all going for a gondola ride! |
It was a perfect day for a ride up to
the Sundeck on top of Aspen Mountain> |

Back at home the boys modeled the tee
shirts given them by the nice nurses in Denver> |

Memorial Day Monday --
up the Pass and back to Buttermilk:
Monday was a very special day -- the
two-year anniversary of our wedding, and the one-month anniversary of
the boys' birth! |
We began the big day with a roadtrip
to the top of Independence Pass> |
The Pass was teeming with late-spring
back-country skiers> |
It was a spectacular day
on the roof of the world. |
The boys befriended a Christian
motorcycle gang from Indiana> |
And then we headed back
down to town to celebrate
our wedding anniversary!
Our first anniversary
(2002) |
Our second anniversary! |
at the Bumps base lodge
on Buttermilk Mountain. |
