This year's ski season was way-epic. Katherine was back on her skis, and all was right in the Rocky Mountains.

On Easter Sunday the SkiCo closed down Aspen Mountain until next season.  The snow is still amazing, the weather is perfect, but not enough people take ski vacations in late April to keep the lifts running.  We don't mind, we'll go road biking now!

The Easter Bunny was handing out treats to foot passengers waiting to download on the Gondola after sunrise Easter service

perfect groomage and perfect bumps in perfect coexistence  riding the old Bell Mountain Chair up Spar Gultch  looking up the steeps of Jackpot from the Bell Chair  Skier Katherine & Skier Gilbert survey their domain. Isn't that the smell of strudel wafting up from Bonnie's???  speeding down to Bonnie's for strudel!
Gilbert coming down the steps of Bonnie's with his strudel

Since it is the last day the lifts are running, it is also the last day for the amazing strüdel at Bonnie's mid-mountain restaurant! We can wait until next fall for the skiing to resume, but how will we make it through the summer without Bonnie's strüdel??
