When the HBO Comedy Arts Festival rolled into town this year, so did our friend Matthew Moore from New York.

We had spent time with Matthew in Saratoga Springs and in London, but

it was a special treat getting to spend time with him in the Rocky Mountains.


Castle Creek Valley

On Saturday the snow let up, the sun reappeared, and

we went cross-country skiing out into the back country

beyond the ghost town of Ashcroft...

  looking toward Taylor Pass, beyond the ghost town of Ashcroft the back country was closed to cross-country skiing beyond this point in the valley due to incredibly high risk of avalanche. the warming hut near the Pine Creek Cookhouse ghost town of Ashcroft the old long-abandonned hotel at Ashcroft
