Not all of our friends who come to visit us in Aspen end up going home with a bull.

But then Peter & Sue are not just friends; they are incredibly special friends

There is no better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with Peter & Sue, a parade, one of Katherine's delicious homemade pies, Michelle Shocked, and some Rocky Mountain adventures...

A big crowd gathered to watch the annual July 4th parade down Main Street...

Of course it wasn't long  before Katherine and Sue  found trouble...

Fortunately the Aspen cops  were too busy watching the  parade to notice...

Sometimes we were naughty (playing with remote-controlled cars in the living room)

but mostly we tried hard to behave ourselves. Mostly we succeeded.

Our favorite, Michelle Shocked, played a free concert at Snowmass (in the pouring rain)...

 We hiked around Maroon Lake:

and spent Saturday evening down at the rodeo grounds:

Sue roped herself a bull (or at least the head of a bull)...

which has inspired her to take a trip to Africa...

Then it was time to drive Peter & Sue to Sardy Field to catch their flight home to New York.

 Please come back soon!!
