At the end of June Scott flew overnight to Munich to participate in a three-day

German-American Copyright Law Summit.

You know you're in Munich when...

...men wearing white socks

with sandals are playing the

accordion in public>

...and people actually gather to listen>

There is, of course, more to German culture than the accordion.

Much more.

 There is also...

 "GREASE, DAS MUSICAL"!

On Sunday before the meetings began there was time for a little sightseeing in town>

a doorway in the old part of the city

Sunday evening there was a welcome dinner,

which began with schweinebraten and ended

with strudel. Yum!  (burp)

In the evening we attended an outdoor concert of James Levine conducting Beethoven's 5th>

And then it was time for work. The first day's sessions took place at a cottage on a lake in the Munich countryside. In the humid weather of the Bavarian summer the lake looked very tempting...

Alessandra and Maren always get a laugh out of German copyright law.

There as a lakeside lunch, at which Ted ordered the Tower of Seafood>

The Seehaus

Dining on German beer & sausages outdoors on a warm evening is the best>

Michael Moore & Jenny Kirchherr

biergarten>

...even if interrupted by calls from Hollywood>
After a final photo of the group... Scott flew home to tell Alex & Jeremy all the latest news about German copyright law!
