² Beach Boys of Manhattan Beach  ²

February 17, 2006

When we're in Hollywood we love to head down to our favorite beach on Sunday morning.

So this morning we packed up our Sand Toys and headed off to Manhattan Beach.

We set up camp just above the high tide point, not far from the pier. (This sea gull

was headed for Mummy & Jeremy, hoping there might be cookies to share...)

The February surf is high, and there were lots of surfer boys in the water.

But we decided to stay nice and dry and work on our sand construction projects...

Alex disappeared for a while and was replaced by his alter-ego, Super Surfer Boy!

That was SILLY!

Then we all went out on the pier to watch the waves break and the surfers crash.

In the aquarium at the end of the pier we visited with the fish and the sharks...

We LOVE spending time at the beach!

We finally left the pier and had lunch outdoors in downtown Manhattan Beach.

YUMMY!

Back at home Alex took an extra nap while Jeremy ran around in the backyard...

Then our best pal Sally came to visit and we all went to the Grove to watch the

dancing waters fountain, to listen to a live band playing in the park, and then to

have dinner at the Farmers' Market. It was the best of days!

When we came out of the Farmers' Market the sun had set and the full moon was

low in the sky behind the clock tower. Alex sighed happily and said: "It's such a

pretty night." He was right.
